A framework for responsible innovation in service of our mission.
01
People First
Humans at the Center
AI expands what our staff, volunteers, and partners can do. It does not replace human judgment, expertise, compassion, or relationships.
Critical decisions, program design, community engagement, and organizational leadership remain firmly in the hands of qualified people and the community we serve.
02
Responsible Stewardship
Every Dollar Counts
As a nonprofit, we carry a responsibility to use donor and grant funding wisely.
Applying AI to content, admin, communications, research, and day-to-day operations reduces overhead and directs more resources toward programs that benefit Aruba.
03
Human-in-the-Loop
Reviewed, Always
HopeAruba maintains a Human-in-the-Loop approach to every significant use of AI. Content, communications, and program materials are reviewed by qualified staff and leadership.
AI supports human decision-making. It never stands in for it.
04
Transparency
Honest Storytelling
We may use AI-generated or AI-assisted images, graphics, videos, and creative content to share ideas, visualize concepts, and tell the story of our mission.
We do not use AI-generated content to misrepresent real people, places, events, or communities in Aruba. Illustrative content conveys a message — it does not document an actual event.
05
Ethics & Oversight
Accountability Built In
Our use of AI operates under the oversight of our Board of Directors, our Founder, and our Program Leadership.
We are committed to responsible innovation, ethical standards, the protection of privacy, and the ongoing evaluation of emerging technologies.
06
Mission First
People Are the Mission
Technology is not our mission. People are.
We use AI because it lets us dedicate more time, more talent, and more funding to the work that matters most: empowering individuals, strengthening communities, and delivering real outcomes for Aruba.
